Coastal French plates
Fresh fish and shellfish-led dishes that fit Whitstable's harbour setting.
Family-run since 1993
Authentic French cooking, local Kent produce and seafood, and the kind of warm dining room guests remember after a day by the harbour.
Birdies is a quaint, family-run French bistro in central Whitstable. The menu changes daily, built around fresh, local and seasonal produce from fishermen and farmers.

Daily changing menu
Birdies asks guests to check the board because availability changes. The demo keeps that honest: it shows the cooking style without pretending to be a fixed menu.
The story
Birdies has been in the Colthup family since November 1993, after Philip and Sue's careers as highly qualified chefs in London and New York City. That history gives the restaurant a stronger story than the current website is able to show at a glance.
"Warm, intimate and friendly atmosphere; created by the family run team." From Birdies' current public website
Opening hours
The current website asks guests to call for tables of 6 or more. This demo keeps that message visible on mobile before guests reach a reservation screen.
